How We Can Help
Having a safe, comfortable, and supportive place to live is essential for your well-being and independence. At Better Life Home & Community Care Services, we provide a range of NDIS-supported accommodation options tailored to your needs, preferences, and goals. Whether you require 24/7 support or just a helping hand in the mornings and evenings, we’ll work closely with you to find the right living arrangement so you can live life on your terms.
Supported Disability Accommodation Options
We offer fully furnished homes designed for people living with disabilities. Our goal is to make your move as smooth and stress-free as possible. Each home includes:
Comfortable Bedding
TV and Internet Access
Safe and Welcoming Environments
Supportive and Experienced Staff
SIL – Supported Independent Living
24/7 Support in a Shared Living Environment
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is for NDIS participants who need daily, round-the-clock assistance. This option is ideal if you:
♥ Need help with personal care, cooking, cleaning, or daily routines.
♥ Require constant supervision or overnight support.
♥ Are looking for a shared home with like-minded housemates.
We currently support five SIL homes and use a careful matching process to ensure each housemate is compatible—supporting each other’s needs without causing stress or anxiety. These are existing homes that can be modified to suit individual requirements.
ILO – Individualised Living Options
Flexible Support for More Independent Living
Individualised Living Options (ILO) are ideal if you:
♥ Prefer living independently with some scheduled support.
♥ Are confident spending time on your own.
♥ Want to live in your own home or government housing?
With ILO, your support team visits during key times of the day, such as morning and evening routines. We also offer flexible shared-living setups with either another participant or a housemate without a disability—similar to a flatmate arrangement.
SDA – Specialist Disability Accommodation
Custom-Designed Homes for High Support Needs
While we are a registered provider for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), we are not currently delivering SDA homes. SDA refers to housing specifically designed for people with extreme functional impairments or very high support needs. These homes must be new builds and meet strict accessibility and design standards. We’re here to help you understand your SDA eligibility and guide you through the process when you're ready.
STA – Short Term Accommodation & Respite Care
Take a Break, Try Something New
Short Term Accommodation (STA), including respite care, gives you the chance to:
♥ Take a short break in a new environment.
♥ Explore new supports and services.
♥ Stay in a fully supported environment while your usual carer takes a break.
STA is usually funded for up to 14 days at a time. You can choose to stay on your own or share the accommodation with others—depending on your needs and preferences.
